WINE KITZ NEW MINAS…NEW OWNERSHIP
In early December 2012, after 11 wonderful years as owner of Wine Kitz New Minas, I made the difficult decision to sell my interest in the business. I wish to thank our numerous loyal customers for their many years of support & patronage. I readily admit that it has been a whole lot of fun on all levels. I confidently pass the ownership torch to Gail Smith & David Cvet.
About Gail & David
Gail was born and raised near Digby, and has business degrees from both Mount Saint Vincent University and Dalhousie University. Gail moved to Toronto in 1982 to work a twenty-three year career with Scotiabank. She is an avid gardener, enjoys genealogy, and has a deep interest in the sciences. Nova Scotia has always been her one true home.
David grew up in Welland, Ontario, and studied both genetics and computer technology at the University of Toronto. David has a passion for Heraldry, European history and medieval martial arts and is active in several charitable and non-profit organizations devoted to these pursuits.
In 2005, David and Gail decided to spend more time with family here and started to split their lives between Ontario and Nova Scotia. This year, they decided to make the move to Nova Scotia permanent.
A Message from Gail & David to our Customers
Having discovered Wine Kitz New Minas first as new winemakers, taking over as owner/operators has become a natural progression for us. Initially impressed with the quality, range and value of the products, as well as the simplicity of the in store winemaking services, the opportunity to become involved in the business of providing these same things to other winemakers became a matter of fate.
We are glad that all of our staff are staying on with us and continue to be there to serve your needs, big or small. We intend to maintain the strong customer focus and quality standards that Wine Kitz New Minas has become known for, and continue to provide the best consumer wine making products and services available anywhere in Canada. We know what is important to us and we know that these same things will be important to our customers.
We see great potential going forward and are very excited about our new home and business in the Annapolis Valley. We look forward to meeting all of our customers and fellow winemakers in the new year ahead.
